“The best things in life are free. The second best are very expensive.” – Coco Chanel

Have you ever walked into a department store already knowing what you need to get and telling yourself you shouldn’t be distracted by the salespeople or shiny things along the aisles? But then you walk by a makeup counter and a smiling face flashes you a new “gift with purchase” promotional deal and just like that, you forget why you’re there? Yup, that’s me every single time!

Boy, did the Chanel lady get me good. I came in to return a pair of $30 shoes and walked out with the shoes still in hand and a bag full of Chanel goodies 🙁

Healthy Glow Powder // Coco Mademmoiselle Parfum // Intense Long Wear Lipstick #90
Illuminating Primer // Highlighting Powder

Coco Mademoiselle Eau De Parfum Spray

This perfume brings me back to when I was a little girl playing with my mom’s makeup. The scent of feminine and elegance. It’s a lighter and more youthful version of the original Chanel no. 5. It’s very long lasting and a little bit goes a long way. I just dab a bit on my wrists and that’s enough to last me through the whole day.

Le Blanc de Chanel Sheer Illuminating Base

This has got to be the best primer I’ve tried thus far! My skin is very sensitive and problematic – this does not make me break out or cause irritation at all. It’s oil-free, moisturizing, and supposed to add subtle luminosity to the skin without making you look overly dewy or greasy. I love how it perfectly blurs out my large pores and fine lines while adding radiance back into my dull dry skin. My only complaint is that it’s strongly scented.

Rouge Allure Intense Long Wear Lip Colour (Pimpante #90)

This lipstick has a satin finish and goes on sheerer than I expected. I had to swipe it over my lips three times to get the full coverage that I wanted. Even though it says long wear, I feel like it doesn’t last as long as other long wear lipsticks but at least it doesn’t dry out your lips like others do. I kept it because of its packaging and color 🙂

Infiniment Chanel Highlighting Powder

Just how pretty is this highlighter with the embossed signature CC-monogram design?! ♥ The powder is finely milled and has a silky smooth texture. I wouldn’t say it’s a highlighter – more on the line of a soft focus setting powder. It gives a semi-matte finish with a hint of illuminating effect.

Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour Broad Spectrum SPF 15 (Marinière N°01)

This is a very light-weight and subtle blush. This shade is great for those with fair skin. Unfortunately, I have tanned/dark skin so the color didn’t show through when I put it on. But I do love its velvety texture and light floral scent.

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed this review. Have a lovely day! 🙂

  1. Love this post so much! I am a sucker for Chanel products and that perfume is my absolute favorite! 🙂

  2. I picked up that same striped blush! It’s too light for me too but it’s so pretty 🙂 I figured I’d save it for a photo prop 😉 LOL! The embossing on the highlighter is so gorgeous!!! I gotta try that Chanel primer! <3

I'd love to hear from you!
