It’s hump day and nothing gets me more excited or motivates me harder to push through the rest of the work week than bar food & booze!! 😛
I am thrilled that they converted the La Jolla Strip Club (I know what you’re thinking people! But no, it was a restaurant) to a sports bar/pub. I think it’s a great addition to the neighborhood. Eureka! Bar across the street has a spectacular full bar and menu but it’s just too pricey and fancy for frequent visits. A few friends suggested to give this new place a try and I loved it so much that I’ve become a regular.
36 beers on tap and bacon on a stick?…I AM ALL IN!! In addition to that, they have game tables to keep the fun rolling and lots of TVs for sports fans. I love the decor and chill vibe of this place plus it’s kind of nice that they have tons of seating.
I walked in expecting mediocre bar food and throw-it-on-a-plate type of plating (like many other bars) but was pretty impressed when that wasn’t the case at all. Everything was really delicious except for the pulled pork but they just opened in November so I’m pretty sure they’re still in the process of working out all the kinks.
I thought it was fun and hilarious that they made my sister sign a waiver for the Hotter-than-Hell burger. It wasn’t spicy but then again, we’re Asian so our tolerance for spicy food is pretty high 🙂
Their motto: “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of beer”. Cheers bc it’s almost the freaken weekend! 🙂 Thanks for reading guys.
