AYCE Food Challenge

My sisters and I are self-proclaimed food fanatics – we go through each day thinking about what to eat and how to eat as much of it as humanly possible. Our favorite thing to do whenever we have a sister day is to go to an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) restaurant and eat until the thought of food makes us want to barf. 😀

Our restaurant of choice this time was RB Sushi. For laughs and giggles, we decided to go there twice in a row (I know, I know…). First time was to see how many items we can throw down and the second time was to see if we can beat our first record in a shorter amount of time 😀 I see you cringing – most people do when they see how petite we are! 3 HOURS and 32 ITEMS later, we immediately regret our decision. lol

I gotta give kudos to our sushi chefs and wait staff for being so patient with us. Most places aren’t happy with customers who stay past 2 hours and eating their money’s worth. Three hours later, they were still as friendly as when we first walked in. It was kind of nice that RB Sushi didn’t have a time limit on their AYCE but I’m sure after reading this post, they might consider changing it 😀

Ambience there was nice, interior was clean and well decorated (was so busy eating and taking pics of our food that I forgot to take pictures of the restaurant), rice to sushi ratio was perfect, and great customer service. My opinion is solely based on their College Area location since I’ve never been to their other locations. They also have locations in Rancho Bernardo and Hillcrest.

If you’re ever down for an eating challenge – you know who to call! Have you ever done a food challenge or know of a place in San Diego that has crazy food challenges? If so, I want to hear all about it! 🙂

  1. Sushi is one of my fav foods! I eat it 2-3 times a week.. I would have to say that my fav things to order are usually agedashi tofu, salmon sashimi, and spicy tuna roll. This restaurant looks absolutely amazing. Love getting my money’s worth at buffets:-).
